The Kent House is commonly regarded as Towson’s oldest Irish-style pub and one of the few spots in town that leans into a traditional Irish pub vibe.
The kent opened its doors 1958 under the name Kent Resturant and Lounge. The Georges family took over in the 80's then in 1999 the current owner George Georges renamed it from the Kent lounge to simply “The Kent.”
Over the years, The Kent House Irish Pub has developed a loyal clientele and is often described as a the bar where regulars gather, conversation is encouraged, and traditional music is part of the vibe.
